Good news! We are starting a new and exciting journey with the IRRIFRUT project which is funded by the State Research Agency (AEI) with the code PID2019-106226RB-C2/AEI/10.13039/501100011033, and it is the natural continuation of the former ARIFRUT project. The IRRIFRUT project (Automation of precise irrigation of fruit trees based on soil and plant water sensors) will be developed over …
Two of our researchers last summer took a research stay at the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology in Bangor, North Wales, UK, where they studied the dielectric properties of soils with researchers David A. Robinson and Inma Lebron.
From the 4th to 6th of June was held in Don Benito (Badajoz) the XXXVII Congreso Nacional de Riegos. Three presentations were made by Pedro Blaya Ros and Víctor Blanco Montoya.
From the 19th to 21st of September was held in Ámsterdam the Fourth International Conference on Sensors and Electronic Instrumentation Advances (SEIA’ 2018). Our PhD student, Juan Domingo González, presented the contribution “Design and simulation of a soil sensor using microstrip lines and neural networks” in the Environment Sensors session.
We have designed and assembled our first capacitive sensor with SDI-12 protocol. The sensor allows to select different soil profiles throughout SDI-12 commands.
